Information We Collect, and How We Use It

SmartVillage app can be used to Prepare, maintain, and view Online Directory of any groups of people such as Residents Associations, Church Members, Family groups, Religious groups, Cultural groups, Political groups, Trade unions or even Friends groups by using an android device any time, from any part of the world. We receive or collect information when we operate and provide these Services, including when you install, access, or use our Services.

• Information that we collect automatically : We automatically receive your email address, profile name and profile photo associated with your email account when you create your account. We use these details to authorize you to access our services and data. We aren’t collecting any other personal information other than this automatically.

• Information that you share with us directly : Content that you share with other users such as contact details, messages, photos, geographical location as well as list of members in your group.

If you need to hide the members details of a group from public, you can hide it by tick on the Lock button in your Group edit page. Locked group details will be visible to the members of that group and authorized persons only.

List of requested permissions

SmartVillage app needs the following permissions. Allow these permissions for its proper functionality.

The permission names correspond to standard codes used by Android is given below. Permissions marked with ⚠ are classified as “dangerous permission” by Google.

SEND_SMS ⚠	Allows to send SMS messages
Allow this permission to send Group SMS messages to members of a group as follows.   Select the Group SMS button from the members list page as given on the above left side screenshot. It will display the Group SMS compose screen as given on the above right side screenshot. Press the Send SMS message and It will give the warning message before sending SMS as given below also. SmartVillage app is not sending SMS or dialing by itself. It should be initiated by the user himself. It will warn the user by displaying warning messages before Group SMS and Dial. And also warn about SMS and Dial charges/rates applicable.
CALL_PHONE ⚠	Allows to use, access Phone Dialer
Allow this permission to directly dial member of a group as follows. Each member of a group has a page with personal details of that member along with his mobile number. To dial a member, select his personal details page and press the dial icon as given in the screenshot. It will give the dial warning message as given above before dialing.
ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION	Allows an app to access precise location
User can mark th geographical location of group members, buildings and vehicles
READ_PHONE_STATE	Allows read only access to phone stater
Cloud hosted database and cloud notification services needs this permission to deliver data to user devices.
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE	Allows an application to read from external storage
Cloud hosted database and cloud notification services needs this permission to deliver data to user device.
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE	Allows to access information about networks
Cloud hosted database and cloud notification services needs this permission to deliver data to user device.
INTERNET	Allows applications to open network sockets
Cloud hosted database and cloud notification services needs this permission to deliver data to user device.
